New Castle Brown Ale is the ultimate compliment to a good steak.

I suggest (if you don't already do it) going to Outback, getting a prime rib and a glass of New Castle on tap. [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif[/img]

There are few taste combinations that can compete with that.

OT: I fortuitously discovered the ultimate triad to spicing up a good burger.
Montreal Steak Spice + Mrs. Dash's Garlic + Old Bay (the stuff you put on crabs and lobsters when you steam them)

I LOVE Blue Moon, have you ever tried St. Pauli's Girl? it's pretty good

I have seen it but never tried it, I will give it a taste.

If anybody ever gets down to Nags Head, go to the Weeping Radish. They brew their own, the honest to goodness German way, and their pilsners and wheat beer is out of this world. My favorites list:

1. Cerveza Cantina- relatively cheap and is a lot like Corona
2. Amstel Light
3. Miller Lite- Can't beat it
4. Red Stripe- Pretty good if you've got a few extra dollars.
5. Rolling Rock- Love the painted bottles.
6. New Castle- Expensive but good. Had some last week monitoring the Religion Forum [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif[/img]
7. Foster's Lager- Only lager I like

The Weeping Radish wheat beer is quite good. The restaurant there is also quite good.

My parents took me to the Sophisticated Otter in JC a few years back. Don't know if they are still in business, but I thought they brewed some of their own. Whatever I had was pretty good. Some kind of berry brew, if my memory serves me correctly.

Ah yes, The Weeping Radish. Very good restaurant, if you like German style cuisine. I highly recommend their Schnitzel dinner. I hope to go back to the OBX soon to partake the those 'good eats'. I think you can even sign-up on a type of 'Beer of the Month' club with them.

I haven't been in three years. Hope to take the camper down there in September for a few days of R&R.

Unfortunately the Otter is closed (unless they reopened and I just haven't heard). I loved that place.
